About

Theo is a graduate of St. Martin’s School of Art, it was here that he began his Oceans series of works which have evolved continuously since his first two large pieces were shown and sold in his degree show.

Theo works in a traditional manner which is influenced by his early interest in the Old Masters: painting with heavy impasto and finishing with many series of thin glazes.

Throughout his Oceans paintings, his particular fascination is with the abstraction that the impasto causes on close inspection, completely transforming into a crystallisation of sharp realism when viewed from a distance.
