Greg Mort at The Lowell Observatory

The Lowell Observatory unveils Greg Mort’s painting depicting their new Astronomy Discovery Center. 

Greg Mort (b. 1952) is a long-time supporter of Lowell Observatory’s mission. Greg is
an accomplished artist whose artwork has been displayed in the Smithsonian Museum
of Art, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, the Corcoran Museum of Art and
the White House. Greg’s artwork was the first interstellar art exhibition aboard the
International Space Station.

American artist Greg Mort fuels his live long fascination with the confluence of art and science with his passion for the beauty of the night sky. Since childhood he has been a serious ammeter astronomer both building and collecting telescopes. He designed and constructed two observatories and uses them almost every clear night of the year. Currently her serves on the Board of the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ.
