Francis Luis Mora was a painter, illustrator, muralist, etcher and teacher. His paintings usually depicted leisurely life, figures, interiors and landscapes, and reflected a blend of Spanish and Modern American influence.
Mora was the first Hispanic to be elected to the National Academy of Design, as well as a member of many other societies, such as The National Arts Club, The Art Students League, The American Watercolor Society, and many others. His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, The Smithsonian Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Exhibitions with Somerville Manning Gallery
